Help & support

Barrier Beacon runs automated accessibility checks across public web pages. It helps find detectable barriers and track changes; it does not replace manual accessibility testing or establish legal compliance.

Getting started

  1. Add a client site. Enter a public website URL and a name you will recognize.
  2. Run a scan. Barrier Beacon tests up to five pages and creates a baseline score and findings list.
  3. Review the client report. Open the report for plain-language remediation guidance, or create a share link when you want to send it to a client.
  4. Paid plans: turn on monitoring. Choose Weekly or Daily on the client card. Free accounts stay manual.

Free account

Free accounts include 1 client site, manual accessibility scans, scan history and trends, client reports, and report sharing. Scheduled monitoring is not included. You can keep rescanning the same site to compare changes over time.

Common questions

Why can’t Barrier Beacon scan my site?

Only public HTTP and HTTPS websites are accepted. Private-network and local addresses are blocked. Some sites also block automated browsers or respond too slowly; try again later if a public site is temporarily unavailable.

What does the automation score mean?

It summarizes findings detected by the automated scan. A high score does not prove a site is accessible; manual review remains important.

How do I track a regression?

Run another scan of the same client site. Barrier Beacon compares it with the previous scan and shows the score change. Paid accounts can schedule this automatically.

How do client share links work?

Use Share report on a scanned site. The link expires after 30 days and can be revoked from the dashboard.
